Fire Doors form part of Passive Fire Protection and are designed to stop the spread of smoke and fire from on fire compartmentation zone to another.
What are fire doors?
- Fire Doors are precision-engineered life safety products that form a vital task of holding back a fire should it break out in a building.
- They are available in a variety of timber, metal and composite materials and range from, single swing, single-leaf, and double-leaf pedestrian doors, to large power-operated steel doors.
- Fire doors have a fire-resistance rating and form an integral part of a building’s passive fire protection.
- Having these doors installed in a building slows down the spread of a fire in a building and allows occupants more time to escape and fire crews to gain access.
